Today I'm releasing the 1st grade sight words file folder games. These games all have a Saint Patrick's Day Theme. Each covers 18 sight words/high frequency words that are commonly taught in first grade. For all of you second grade teachers stay tuned for your games.

Now that the Valentine Day parties are over its a great time to start preparing for the next big holiday, Saint Patrick's Day. To help you out I've created 3 new file folder games for Kindergarten. Stay tuned for 1st and 2nd grade games as well.  In these games students get to play the part of a leprechaun and try to hide pots of gold from their opponent. The gold is hidden under rainbows which each have a target sight word that kindergarteners need to practice.  The three different games cover sight words, color words, and number words. Although I haven't posted anything for the last two weeks I have been very busy. I'm creating the first ever video from Kaylee's Education Studio. The video is going to be about using commas to separate words in a series. I've only got one more scene to animate and I still have to work on the sound for the animation which I'm dreading. : (  This is "Check the comma." The character that is featured in the video. Hopefully when students remember the video they will remember to check the commas in their writing. I hope you don't think I'm just bragging but I'm very proud of this little guy and I think he's adorable.
Along with the video I'm also creating a series of printables that will allow students to practice the skill that they learned in the video. |
