Peer Book Recommendations
|
Book Recommendations formIn keeping with my goal of having my reader's notebook be as motivating as possible, I created this book recommendations form. It is a simple form where kids write the title, author, and who the book is recommended by. Students are instructed to pass their reader's notebook to a friend and let them recommend a good book.
You can also use this form to list teacher recommended books. Or books recommended from other sources like websites or book lists. |
Book Recommendations Binder
Another idea is to have a class recommendations binder, where students can fill out a form recommending a book.
On the top half of the form, students write the title of the book, author, genre, short summary, and a brief description of who they think would enjoy it. The bottom half of the form is left blank with the subtitle "Recommended By" above the space. From Miss Lifesaver: Teaching Tips
A Reading Tree
- Paint a reading tree on a wall in the school and distribute leaves to pupils who want to recommend a good read and attach their comments/reviews to the branches of the tree. From Buzzing about books - using talk and peer recommendation to hook pupils into reading
The book recommendations form, at the top, comes from my readers notebook. If you're interest in my new reader's notebook you can see more of the pages from the notebook by clicking on the link below.
