It comes with a set of flash cards as well.
I'm planning on making some other versions of the game as well to practice other addition facts so stay tuned.

![]() Here is a free addition board game that I hope you enjoy. Your kids get to follow the Christmas lights around the wreath to reach the star in the middle. This game will help students practice addition for problems with sums on 10-14. It comes with a set of flash cards as well. I'm planning on making some other versions of the game as well to practice other addition facts so stay tuned. ![]()

The Cornerstone has a great article on how we can all help teachers who have been affected by Hurricane Sandy. Living in Washington state I'm about as far away as you can be from the affected area, that doesn't mean however that I can't help out, or that you can't.
If you have a Teachers pay Teachers store you can donate some of your products to teachers that have been affected by the storm. Just click on the button below. I don't know what the weather is like in your area but yesterday we had our first snow of the year. Now before I start moaning about having to start shoveling and driving in the stuff, I'd like to see it in a more positive light. When I was a child, before the shoveling and driving began, I loved when it first snowed. It was exciting and so much fun. As educators we can use that excitement to teach in the classroom. Why not have students write about what they like to do in the snow. Or break out some of your winter themed books for the day. Last year I created a set of math games centered around snowman to help use kids excitement about snow.
I've also been working on a new game that I hope to have ready next week. Like the octopus eight file folder game that I created last. Instead of making eight students will be making 10 in this new game. Its theme is going to be teddy bears. I've already created the teddy bear that I'm going to use for the game, but I still need to give the bear some clothes and then make 10 different ones. So I've still got a lot of work to do. You can check out my new teddy bear that I've designed below and stay tuned next week for the game to come out.

I've always loved using prezi to create great looking presentations, but now prezi is making their service even better. There old bubble menu was often difficult to navigate through, and I often had difficulty with editing the path.
They've fixed those problems and I've tried out their new interface which is so much simpler. They've also added some great new templates to use. If you've never used prezi check out their page. If you have used it better how do you use prezi in your classroom? |
