This new version of the snowman snowball fight lets students practice their addition and subtraction facts with the sum/difference being between 0-6. This will be the last of the snowman sports file-folder games. I'm going to be working on another series of sight word file-folder games next.
This is the forth snowman sports game in the series. This file-folder game helps students increase the speed at which they recognize their addition facts.
Students must place 3 snowballs on each of their opponents snowmen before the other player beats them to it.
Each of the snowman has a sum of 10-17 on them. While the snowballs have the questions.
To reward those who subscribe to this blog, as always the game will be free to download for a limited time.

The next snowman winter sports file-folder game is out. Snowman Hockey - In this file folder game players get to practice their addition facts while competing in a snowman hockey game.
Snowman Hockey game board
How to play the game - To play the game students will take a card, solve the problem on the card and then say their answer. The cards will either have a hocky puck or an X on them. If a student chooses a card with a hockey puck they will try to find the sum on their side of the board. If they choose a card with an X on it they will try to block one of their opponents snowman. Students will keep on taking turns until the all of the snowman are covered. The player who has the most hockey pucks at the end of the game wins.

Have your students practice the short i and e sounds with this fun file folder game. The game has students sort CVC words into the correct area. Words that have a "short i" sound go on the "pig." Words that have a "short e" sound go on the "pen." After you're done you have an easy place to store all of the pigs when you put them into the pocket. You can download your free file by clicking the link below. This file folder game will also be available on the Free Stuff page.
