When I was a child, before the shoveling and driving began, I loved when it first snowed. It was exciting and so much fun. As educators we can use that excitement to teach in the classroom. Why not have students write about what they like to do in the snow. Or break out some of your winter themed books for the day.
Last year I created a set of math games centered around snowman to help use kids excitement about snow.
These packet includes 5 file folder games that will let students practice their addition and subtraction facts. The snowmen get to ski, play hockey and have snowball fights in these five games. | |
